Families are constantly changing and housing needs to be able to adapt to their needs. This project addresses these issues by providing an affordable unit that offers flexibility and expansion. To reduce costs, each occupant starts with only the necessities. As they require more room and have more money, they can choose expand their living quarters. Units are arranged so that there are a variety of possibilities for growth including options for co-living families.

The demographics of the area are low-income, young families so the project seeks to provide affordable residential units on the upper floors and public programs tailored specifically for these families on the lower floors. Along Bloor street is a 2-storey restaurant with outdoor seating. The eastern wing contains a daycare and offers views of the Salem Parkette while the western wing has co-working office spaces for working adults.
